The efficient mixing volume range in a cone blender is between 35% and 75% of the blender’s volume. The cone blender’s efficiency decreases if the low end is breached (-35%), but stops rapidly if the high range is breached (+65%). Sepor’s 15” cone blenders are manufactured with all contact parts constructed of 304 stainless steel. The standard configuration includes one stainless steel cone, table top drive, capable of rotating two 15” cones. The drive consists of a ¾ HP TEFC motor, 110-220 V/1Ph/50 or 60Hz, mounted to a 40:1 double gear reducer. The operating speed of the cones is 43 RPM’s. The useable volume in one 15 inch cone is approximately .80 cu ft.

A wide variation of material types may be effectively blended, obtaining reproducible results. Over blending cannot occur. The cone blender will effectively blend fibrous materials, powder or granular materials. The 15” cone blender is easy to operate, with ample feed and discharge openings. The 15” cone blender can be, at the customer’s request, purchased with discharge openings on both ends of the cone. It is also like the 12” in that it is easily cleaned between batches, is economical, power usage is low and operator attention is required while blending is progress.
The cone vessel is comprised of two opposed cones, and a cylindrical center band with each half cone welded in the center of the band. The center band has one oversize, machined trunnion, welded to it in order to provide an axis about which the cone rotates. The angle of the cone is 45 degrees. The diameter of the center band is the cone blender size is 15”.
The 15” cone blender comes standard with stand, electric motor, gearbox and one cone.
