Belt Feeders

15 x 84 Belt Feeder
APPLICATIONS
The belt feeder is especially useful in pilot plant and small scale production operations where variable quantities of solids or difficult to feed solid materials are required on a relatively continuous basis. The belt feeders are especially good solutions for feeding materials involving the following criteria:
A. Small feed rates from a few pounds per hour.
B. Lumpy material, with lump size up to 3-4 inches.
C. Sticky material.
D. Very fine material.
E. Variety of material with widely differing densities.
F. Widely varying feed rates.
G. Minimal spillage in feeder area.
H. Desire to keep complex electronic controls as simple as possible.
These belt feeders are a result of years of experience manufacturing for clients in varying applications. The basic feeder consists of receiving hopper, which is loaded by a conveyor belt, front end loader, drums, etc.. The hopper has 60 deg. sides and the entire bottom area is open. Adjustable rubber skirts contact the feeder belt to prevent leakage. Adjustable slide gate adjusts amount fed onto conveyor. The feeder is bolted to the hopper. The feeder belt slides on a steel plate surface, which ensures live movement of material in hopper with minimum spillage. The head pulley is lagged to minimize slippage. The standard drives have a belt speed range of 0 to 20 inches per minute, which permits a wide, deep opening of the discharge gate to prevent bridging, etc.
SPECIFICATIONS
Hopper is fabricated from 3/16” or 1/4” steel, with angle stiffeners, 60 degree side slopes, structural supports, adjustable gate and rubber skirt assembly.
Feeder consists of lagged head pulley, with tail pulley, head and tail shafts, anti-friction bearings, take-up, endless belt riding on steel plate deck and belt cleaner. All mounted in heavy channel frame and bolted to hopper.
Feeder drive consists of variable speed controller for 1 phase 50-60 hertz, 115 V or 220 V operation and includes reducer, roller chain drive system with guards, all mounted integral with feeder frame assembly. Unit is completely assembled, painted and feeder is packed separately for shipment.
